As parents, it is exciting to help our children begin to discover what it means to be a follower of Jesus, and in the process we come to know and understand God’s love and caring in deeper ways ourselves. Deciding to baptize your child means that you are willing to take on the responsibility to raise your child in the Catholic faith. You are committed to nurturing that faith by your practice and good example. It is the beginning of your child’s journey of faith, which will last a lifetime.

In order to celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism for a child, the following is required:

• ONLY the parents of a child are able to register a child for Baptism.
• Family must present a copy of the child's Birth Certificate.

• Children under the age of 7 are to be Baptized in this form.  If a child is over age 7, he/she must be enrolled for Religious Education classes.
• Fill out the registration form with the most current information on the family.

• Please have the names of the godparents available upon registration.
• Only Roman Catholics are formally allowed to become godparents. 
• Godparents must be above the age of 18.
